Rolf was born in the Pittsburgh suburb of Baldwin Borough and raised in the City of Pittsburgh where he attended Langley High School. He has been a life-long Pittsburgher with the exception of his years at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Rolf is currently a resident of Murrysville, Pennsylvania.
Rolf completed his undergraduate studies at Gannon University where he received a full academic scholarship. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he graduated in 1992 and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Immediately after graduation, Rolf became a partner with the law firm of Ludwig, Curran & Patberg. During his career, he has handled significant commercial cases, including cases brought under the Racketeering Influence Corrupt Organizations Act. Rolf has argued cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and nearly every state and federal court in Western Pennsylvania.
Rolf represents small businesses, individuals, and generally handles complex litigation. He is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court for Federal Claims, the United States Supreme Court, and he has also been admitted pro hac vice in states other than Pennsylvania.
Rolf is a certified Federal Mediator, a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers, Allegheny County Bar Association, Westmoreland County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers, American Academy for Justice, and has been engaged in the practice of complex litigation for over twenty (20) years.
Rolf focuses his practice on complex litigation, including significant complex motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice cases, and also has a diverse background in employment practices litigation and commercial litigation. He has tried over 50 jury trials to verdict.
Rolf is actively involved in a variety of community activities, including Franklin Area Midget Football, Franklin Regional Athletic Association, the Murrysville Drillers, local trial tactics, and a variety of other organizations within the Murrysville Community.
